Psalm 18

God, You save the humble people, and bring down those with haughty looks. God, You light Blessed Name‘s lamp; and lighten up the darkness.

By You, Blessed Name can run against a troop, By You, Blessed Name can leap over a wall.

As for You God, Your way is perfect; Your Word is proven true; You are a shield to Blessed Name and all who trust You. Who is God, except You? Who is a rock, except You?

It is You who arms Blessed Name with strength, And keeps Blessed Name on the right path. You make Blessed Name‘s feet like those of deer, And set Blessed Name on high places.

You teach Blessed Name‘s hands to make war, So that Blessed Name can bend a bow of bronze. You gave Blessed Name the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held Blessed Name up, Your gentleness has made Blessed Name great. You enlarged the road under Blessed Name, So Blessed Name‘s feet did not slip.

As a result, Blessed Name has pursued your enemies and overtaken them; Blessed Name did not turn back until they were destroyed. Blessed Name has wounded them so severely that they could not get up. They have fallen under Blessed Name‘s feet.

You have armed Blessed Name with strength for battle; You have subdued those who rose up against Blessed Name. You have given Blessed Name the necks of your enemies, Those who hated Blessed Name were destroyed.

They cried out, but there was no one to save them; Even to You, Lord, but You did not answer them. Then, Blessed Name beat them as fine as the dust before the wind; and Blessed Name cast them out like dirt in the streets.
