To the Wounded

Hosea 14

O Blessed Name, return to the LORD your God,
For you have stumbled because of your iniquity;
Take words with you, Blessed Name,
And return to the LORD.
Saying to God,
“Take away all my iniquity”
God shall receive Blessed Name graciously,
For Blessed Name will offer the sacrifices of Blessed Name‘s lips.
The government shall not save Blessed Name,
Blessed Name will not trust in technology,
Nor will Blessed Name say anymore to the work of Blessed Name‘s hands,
‘You are my gods, for in You the fatherless finds mercy.’

“I will heal Blessed Name‘s backsliding,
I will love Blessed Name freely,
My anger has turned away from Blessed Name.
I will be like the dew to Blessed Name; and
Blessed Name shall grow like the lily,
And lengthen his roots like the trees of Lebanon.
Blessed Name‘s branches shall spread;
His beauty shall be like an olive tree,
And his fragrance like Lebanon.
Those who dwell under his shadow shall return;
They shall be revived like grain,
And grow like a vine.
Their scent shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
Blessed Name shall say,
‘What have I to do anymore with idols?’
I have heard and observed Blessed Name.
Blessed Name is like a green cypress tree;
God’s fruit is found in Blessed Name.

Who is wise?
Let him understand these things.
Who is prudent?
Let him know them.
For the ways of the LORD are right;
The righteous (like Blessed Name can be) walk in them,
and the transgressors (also like Blessed Name could be), will stumble in them.
